Since 2022 you can find our casual Sunset Beachbar directly on the beach!
In our windsurf center on the spacious beach in front of the TUI Best Family Hotel Alex Beach more than 100 sails from POINT-7 as well as 60 PATRIK boards invite you to windsurf on Rhodes. In addition, we have training material in all sizes to teach interested people, young and old, the fascination of windsurfing with the help of our VDWS trained staff. The material is completely replaced every season, so you are always on the road with the latest equipment. Neoprene, harnesses and other accessories are available in sufficient numbers and included in the rental price.
The equipment of the Windsurf Station
Of course you will find all the comforts of a professional surf center: freshwater showers and toilets on the beach, a sitting area and chill-out area, WIFI, the beach bar, sunbeds and shaded areas directly at the center.
Our team will make your vacation in Rhodes as enjoyable as possible, offering you weekly opportunities for a BBQ on the beach, live music & pasta nights in the Beach Village, Greek food in the tavernas around Theologos, free taster lessons or excursions into the nightlife of Rhodes Town.
The wind at our station
On the beach, the Meltemi provides the right power in the sail. The wind is compressed between the island and the Turkish mainland and is further enhanced by a local thermal. While in the morning with less wind and waves the beginners and intermediates get their money’s worth, from noon on the advanced and wave beginners feel comfortable with 20 knots and more sideshore wind. In summer, the wind blows sideon-shore from the southwest with a small wave in the shore area and swell further out.
